Galax-Z This game is dedicated to my Object Oriented Programming professor, Mark Mahoney
This Java Game was created by Isaac Rothenbaum (May 2009) as a Final Project for Object Oriented Programming - a Computer Science class at Carthage College. The source code is included in the zip file to help educate the next generation of Java Programmers. This program utilizes inheritence, polymorphism, the Singleton pattern, and the Observer pattern. The game world is actually nested arrays of JLabels (and corresponding Icons) inside a JFrame to create the appearance of a 2D space.
You are the elite Space Fighter of earth whose sworn mission is to protect and defend the helpless citizens of the world. In the last months an alien race has declared war upon your home planet and it has fallen upon your heroic shoulders to defend your friends and family. Take up arms in the form of an inter-stellar space craft and prepare to do battle with the alien force in this exciting 2D Arcade Style Space Shooter!

This game is dedicated to my cosmology professor, Jean Quashnock
This game was created as my art project in Cosmology Class. We were given the task of creating any peice of "art" that would reflect our view of the universe and, in some way, the things we learned throughout the year. After a couple seconds of intense pondering I decided to make a game that would give the majestic celestial bodies of our cosmos some personality. Universe of Quahsnock does exactly that!
You play as the Quashnock galaxy, a spiral galaxy located millions of mega parsecs away from the Milkyway. In this forgotten corner of the universe you fight for what little matter is left and must fend off all rival galaxies to ensure your survival. To battle your opponents you must create stars in your galactic core and fire them outwards in the hopes of offsetting the fragile gravitational balance of your enemy's super massive black hole. It's a dangerous place out there, are you up to the task?
